Our history curriculum is centred on historical enquiry, an investigative approach that fosters curiosity and facilitates the development of historical skills and understanding within intriguing and relevant contexts. Equally, this enquiry-based approach will encourage children to raise increasingly perceptive questions about the past, and initiate and pursue their own lines of enquiry in response.

Throughout the school, the curriculum will be enriched through trips to places of historical importance, visits from experts, handling historical artefacts and exposure to other historical sources.

Ultimately, our curriculum will provide children with the opportunity to learn lessons from the past which will hopefully serve to inform and guide their futures.
